How it works
Plug your Life Jar flash drive into any phone, laptop, or tablet. The My LifeJars app walks you through the activation steps — adding your conditions, medication, allergies, and emergency contacts. Everything you enter saves to your flash drive and your ICE Record online. Write your vital details on your wallet card and paper record if you wish — and you’re done.
QR codes come as three types of stickers. One that goes on most surfaces and can be removed. One for glass. One that sticks to metal. You also get a fridge magnet, wallet card, bag tag, key tags, and silicone wristbands — wear or carry what suits you. No fixed address? Living in a mobile home? Living on a boat? First responder scans your QR code. It could be on a sticker, wristband, wallet card, key tag, or bag tag.
Their phone or tablet opens an access screen and your unique number. The number is also printed with your QR code.
They radio their control room and read out the unique number. Each service receives their own authorisation code back.
The first responder enters the code they receive from their control room.
At a home, van, or boat, the QR belongs to the primary householder. The responder picks the right person from a photo list.
Your ICE information opens, plus extra notes from your Health Jars or Red flags — spare key with a neighbour, nervous dog inside.
No signal? Control room reads your vital details back over radio.
At home? Your ICE Jar flash drive opens offline once the first responder enters their code.

Travelling & Living Overseas
